Attended Transfer (warm transfer)

Description: Allows you to speak with the transfer recipient (announce the call) before completing the transfer.

Steps:

  1. During an active call, press Transfer (button or softkey).

  2. Dial the recipient’s extension or external number.

  3. Press Send – their phone will ring.

  4. Announce the call.

    • To complete: Press Transfer to connect the parties.

    • To cancel: Press Cancel (returns to the original caller).

Key Notes:

  • Ensures the recipient is available before transferring.

  • Works for both internal extensions and external numbers.

  • If the recipient doesn’t answer, cancel to retain the original call.

Intercom

Description: The intercom function allows you to quickly connect with another phone user two-way audio connection through the speakerphone.

How to Use Intercom:

  1. Press the dedicated Intercom key on your phone.

  2. Dial the extension number of the person you want to reach, OR

    • Press their extension’s speed-dial button (if available on your phone).

  3. The recipient’s phone will activate speakerphone, allowing for instant communication.

Call Park

Description: Call Park allows you to place an active call in a shared "parking orbit," making it temporarily accessible to anyone in your phone system. Parked calls appear on dedicated orbit buttons for easy retrieval.

How to Park a Call:

  1. During an active call, press the Park Call button.

  2. The system will:

    • Assign the call to an available park orbit (e.g., "Call parked Extension 10").

    • Light up the corresponding red orbit button on your phone.

  3. Hang up—the call remains parked for up to 120 seconds (2 minutes) before ringing back to your extension.

Call Retrieve

Description: Retrieve any parked call instantly by pressing its lit red orbit button before the 2-minute timeout.

How to Retrieve a Parked Call:

  1. Look for a red-lit orbit button (e.g., Orbit 701) on any system phone.

  2. Press the lit button to connect to the parked call.

Important Notes:

  • Timeout: If no one retrieves the call within 120 seconds, it will automatically ring back to the original extension (your phone).

  • Visual Indicator: Only active parked calls show a solid red button (unused orbits remain unlit).

  • Recovery: If you miss the returning call, check voicemail or call logs.

Call History

Description: Quickly view and manage recent call activity directly from your IP phone.

How to Access:

  1. Press the "Call Log" button (located at the bottom of the LCD screen).

  2. Navigate through the following tabs:

    • Recent Calls: All inbound/outbound activity.

    • Placed Calls: Outbound calls initiated by you.

    • Missed Calls: Calls you didn’t answer.

Available Actions:
For each logged call, select an entry to:

  • Dial: Redial the number.

  • Send Message: Initiate a text (if enabled).

  • Add to Contacts: Save the number to your directory.

  • Add to Block List: Prevent future calls from the number.

Notes:

  • Logs may be limited by system settings (e.g., 100 most recent entries).

  • Missed calls may show a visual alert (e.g., flashing LED or icon).

Send Caller to Voicemail

Description: This feature allows you to transfer an active call directly to a user’s voicemail without ringing their extension.

Steps:

  1. During an active call, press the "Tsfr to VM" button (or softkey).

  2. Either:

    • Press the recipient’s extension (if programmed), or

    • Manually dial their extension.

  3. The caller will be sent straight to the user’s voicemail.

Notes: Works for internal extensions with voicemail enabled.
